LIGHTINY

LIGHTINY is a modular lighting object designed as a delicate presence within a space, somewhere between a functional lamp and a small sculptural composition. The piece is composed of five individual elements that can be arranged in multiple configurations, allowing it to exist on the floor or on a table as both a source of light and a decorative object. Each module contributes to a composition that can be quietly reshaped over time.

The project explores the idea of subtlety in objects. The forms are intentionally soft and refined, creating. Sense of fragility and lightness. When the modules are placed together, they form a balanced yet slightly irregular arrangement, giving the piece a natural and almost organic character.

The project began with the idea of creating that feels delicates and almost weightless. Each element is wrapped in stretched stockings, a material chosen for its softness, translucency, and ability to diffuse light gently. The fabric creates a thin membrane around the forms, giving the light a warm, muted glow while emphasizing the fragile character of the piece.

The color palette, pink, dark brown, and nude-olive, was selected to enhance the softness of the piece. Muted and early tones evoke natural pigments such as clay, soil, and faded petals.

By combining modular structure with an unconventional material, LIGHTINY explores the tension between fragility and function. The result is a lighting object that feels intimate and understated, less like a traditional lamp and more like a delicate presence quietly shaping the space around it.
