“ ” SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS

This salt and pepper shaker set is designed as a study in simplicity, intuitive interaction, and quiet emotional presence within everyday rituals. The project explores how a familiar object can be refined to feel natural, unobtrusive, and satisfying to use, while remaining visually calm within a dining environment.

The overall form is intentionally restrained, defined by soft curves and material, allowing the object to communicate its function immediately. The minimal silhouette ensures the shakers integrate seamlessly into a variety of table settings without drawing unnecessary attention.

Ergonomic plays a central role in the design. Each shaker is sized to fit comfortably in the hand, with a weight distribution that feels stable and controlled during use. The orientation is intuitive, encouraging the correct grip and motion without the need for visual cues or instruction. This allows the act of seasoning to remain fluid and effortless, supporting habitual, everyday use.

A magnetic connection subtly links the two shakers together when placed side by side. This detail reinforces their relationship as a pair while introducing a tactile interaction that feels deliberate yet understated. The magnets guide the objects into alignment naturally, creating a small moment of satisfaction when the shakers come together and helping maintain visual order on the table.

Through careful consideration of form, interaction, and material presence, the design aims to enhance daily routines without demanding attention. The shaker set is intended to feel quietly familiar, an object that recedes into the background of use while consistently providing a sense of ease, balance, and subtle pleasure.
